About Me
I have been obsessed with all things glassy for as long as I can remember….
Initially, I took a course in stained glass when my older daughter was a baby which, while it feels like five minutes ago as she will be 22 shortly, it must have been a while.
I discovered fusing over ten years ago and fell in love: with the colours, with the way the glass changes shape and colour in the kiln and how the kiln gods can make you laugh one day and despair the next.
Inspiration
While I love working with colour, dragonflies are a theme that I return to again and again. As they are a symbol of rebirth they seem to sum up my journey in glass to date.
I also love working around popular Scottish themes from nature.
Recently, I’ve been using pieces of driftwood found on local Scottish beaches to add to my pieces.
100% Handmade.
I now work from my new garden studio which was built over the summer to house two of my four kilns.
I sometimes run tasting sessions and take part in local Open Studio events…. which are advertised on my Instagram page.
I currently supply a range of gallery shops across Scotland but am always keen to work with new outlets so please get in touch if you would like to discuss new locations.
I do offer a bespoke service where you can come and work with me to create your own piece or I will tweak one of my designs to suit your needs………… please get in touch!
